What you actually get

The specification, and what it means in your house.

Five things that decide whether a floor is still good in five years, and what each one does for you.

i

Diamond grinding

The slab is mechanically profiled, not acid etched.

What that buys you The coating grips the concrete instead of sitting on it. Coatings usually lift because the slab was not prepared, not because the product failed.
ii

Crack chase and fill

Cracks are opened, cleaned and filled before any coat.

What that buys you The crack stays gone. Coat straight over one and it shows through again in a few months, and by then the only fix is doing the floor twice.
iii

Moisture tested first

The slab is checked before any resin is opened.

What that buys you A slab pushing moisture will lift any coating you put on it. Near the water that is common enough to check every time, and checking costs you nothing before the work starts.
iv

Full broadcast, then a clear topcoat

Flake is broadcast to refusal and sealed over.

What that buys you Dust, tyre marks and traffic stop showing. A thin colour coat shows all of them, which is why a thin colour coat is cheaper.
v

A cure schedule you are given

Foot traffic and vehicle traffic, each with a date.

What that buys you You get the date you can put the car back. Guessing at it is how new floors get damaged in the first week.

What Atlas pours.

Same preparation on all of them. What changes is the system and how thick it is built.

Residential epoxy coatings across all of them. If what you need is not here, phone me.

The parts people worry about.

The four questions people ask before they call.

The quote is free and it is a real number

Free for every customer. Brad measures the slab and writes down a price. It is not a range that moves once the work starts.

You are not paying for a salesman

Brad quotes it and Brad pours it. There is no appointment setter and no commission inside the price.

References on request

Contact details for past clients can be provided when you ask, alongside the reviews already on Google.

Tell me about the floor.

Square footage and a photo get you a real number. If it is easier, call or text and describe it.

Brad answers this number himself. It goes to him, not to a call centre and not to someone taking a message.

Questions

Asked most often.

If the answer you want is not below, phone me and I will tell you.

Is there a fee for a consultation or estimate?

No. Atlas Epoxy Floors offers complimentary estimates to every prospective customer, so you can find out what the job costs without any commitment.

What areas do you serve?

Milford, Fairfield County, New Haven County and Hartford County. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask rather than assuming.

What is your process for getting a new floor installed?

Three steps. Contact us through the free quote form or by phone, schedule your estimate as an in-person visit to the property, and then the job is scheduled and completed.

How long does the work take?

Most floors are finished in a day. We grind the slab, pour and finish in one visit rather than leaving the job open across a week. A large floor or a badly damaged slab can need a second day, and you are told which before you agree to anything. Walking on it and parking on it come after that, on the dates below.

How long before I can park on it?

It depends on the system and the temperature, and you are given the dates before you agree to anything. Foot traffic comes back first and vehicle traffic later. Putting a car back too early is the most common way a new floor gets damaged, which is why the times are written down rather than guessed at.

Will it peel like the last one did?

Coatings almost always lift because the slab was not prepared or was pushing moisture, not because the resin failed. Atlas grinds the slab mechanically rather than acid etching it, and checks it before opening any product. If the slab is not suitable you get told that instead of a floor that fails in a year.

Can you provide references from past clients?

Yes. Contact information for past clients can be provided on request, and there are reviews on the Google profile you can read without asking anyone.

What are your operating hours?

Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. Weekend appointments are available within those hours.

Are you licensed and insured?

Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor registration #0661733, and insured. You can verify the registration with the Department of Consumer Protection before you let anyone into your house.
